Cynthia Sugiyama

Cynthia Sugiyama is head of Communications for Diverse Segments, Representation and Inclusion (DSRI) at Wells Fargo. She leads a team responsible for developing and delivering an integrated communications strategy – internal, external, and executive communications – for the company’s work to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) in the marketplace and the workplace. Prior to this, Cynthia served as head of Human Resources Communications at Wells Fargo. Cynthia first joined the bank in 2017, leading the Communications Strategy and Corporate Media team. Cynthia serves on the advisory council of the Asian Pacific Fund, which is dedicated to strengthening the Asian and Pacific Islander community in the Bay Area. Cynthia is also a member of Wells Fargo’s DE&I Asian American and Pacific Islander Executive Forum. Cynthia received her bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Southern California.
