Dr. Lisa Su is President and CEO at Advanced Micro Devices, a Fortune 500 technology leader. Since joining AMD she has successfully executed a transformation of our strategy, market focus, and product execution. Prior to serving as president and CEO, she was the chief operating officer responsible for integrating AMD’s business units, sales, global operations, and infrastructure enablement teams into a single market-facing organization responsible for all aspects of product strategy and execution.
As only the second woman to win the annual SIA’s Robert N. Noyce Award, since it began in 1991, she takes on the mantle for minority and female representation in the industry, affecting corporate hiring and technology training policy beyond AMD. Once she finished at Bronx high school she then went on to get degrees in electrical engineering from MIT, including a Ph.D., which puts her in the category of leaders that aligns with advisors recently appointed by President-elect Joe Biden. Member of the U.S National academy of Engineers, American Academy of Arts and Science, and IEEE Fellow. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Cisco System Inc, the U.S. Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA), Global Semiconductor Alliance(GSA)
