Patricia co-founded a Financial Technology (Fintech) to close the wealth gap, SHENIX, by providing culturally relevant financial education career development tools, and resources to the under served, the underbanked or unbanked, beginning with Latinas. Patricia has a strong history of serving the community, as reflected by her service on various nonprofit boards and committees, and several accolades, serving on the O’Neil School of Public Affairs Distinguished Alumni Council, Chicago Theological Seminary Board of Trustee, Illinois Treasurer Charitable Trust Board Committee, a 2019 Leadership Greater Chicago Fellow and Aspen Institute Festival of Ideas Scholar and named Chicago’s Most Powerful Latinos in 2019by Crain’s Chicago Business, Nonprofit HR 2020 Women to Watch.
