Wole Akinyemi sat with Kendal Wolfork from Believe Circle City School and shared his insights on leadership. Kendal received a peek into what Wole does on a daily basis with a short tour of the Cummins facility.
“I think the misconception is that there are some special people who are born to be leaders… you’ll find that people who are successful are actually just ordinary people… they found their passion and pursued it…”
When asked about Work-life balance, Wole expressed the need to “react to the moment and continue to be creative about finding work-life balance.” He highlighted the need to delegate… and distinguish between the urgent and the important.”
Kendal expressed her desire to be in leadership, and this conversation helped her to reflect on the leadership qualities she already possesses and how she can continue to grow in leadership.
